Assumption Catholic Church is located on Illinois Street in downtown Chicago, two blocks away from the Merchandise Mart. It was originally built in 1886 and stands today as a popular wedding ceremony venue for Catholics in Chicago.
This wedding ceremony venue is housed with richly colored stained glass windows that bring in light throughout the church. The white and cream walls add to the brightness of this wedding venue, offering the perfect setting for wedding pictures.
Wedding couples who wish to be married in this church are not required to be parishioners of the parish. Catholics who are looking for a wedding venue close to their downtown wedding reception venue can easily hold their ceremony here.
