Wedding at First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia - 07/05/11 10:42 PM
What a great opportunity it was to shoot alongside Lauren Brimhall (www.laurenbrimhallphotography.com) for Darren and Katie’s wedding in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
We started off with the first look at the Morris House Hotel. The interior of the hotel was very traditional and elegant. I loved it! For this wedding, we were running and gunning it. Thankfully, one of Darren’s close friends was driving us so we didn’t have to worry driving and parking on the busy streets of Philly! It’s been a while since I’ve shot a wedding like this but, although it is physically challenging, I truly enjoy it. Our first location was inside the Philadelphia City Hall where Michael Nutter, mayor of Philadelphia, walked past us while shooting Darren and Katie :)
The ceremony took place at the First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia inside a small chapel which was perfect for their intimate wedding. It was a very tearful ceremony especially as their closest friends reminisced with the couple. Afterwards, the reception took place at An American Cookery. I can honestly say that this was probably the best wedding reception food I have ever had! It really does pay off to have your reception at a restaurant.
Congratulations Katie and Darren!
