Riverside, CA Wedding - 06/14/10 11:49 AM
Our cousin, Shannon and the newest member of our family, Daniel were married in Riverside, CA on May 29th. We were honored to be asked to photograph the wedding and the reception at the Mission Inn. It is always an adventure when our family gets together and this wedding was just that. We anticipated some sort of chaos because, that is the nature of this crew. Unfortunately, it was our sweet Shannon that took the biggest hit. She spent the night before the wedding vomiting and had to be sent to the ER to be hydrated via IV. Fortunately, her mom and sister, Mary, are both nurses and Mary's boyfriend, Troy was the ER doctor working that evening. Troy, of course, took excellent care of her. Even though we had to reorganize our time-line a bit, everything else about the event went amazingly. Shannon some how managed to look like a princess even after her night-long battle.
Shannon and Daniel's DJ played endless games with the guests ending with one woman on the floor and Daniel and Shannon on the laps of their dearest friends. Shannon's little brother, Martin, just happens to be an amazing dancer. He's been on the Tyra Banks Show showing off his moves to 'Thriller'. The wedding party convinced him to perform for the bride and groom and he had the whole audience captivated. Eventually we put down our cameras and joined the party. Our favorite part of the whole weekend was the last moments of the evening when we all linked arms in a giant group hug and danced and sang to Brian Adams and Sister Sledge. No camera to document our moves, our hands were too busy linked to one-another :)
