I just posted some delicious eye candy on my blog here from a florist I have been collaborating with for about 6 months. Her work runs the gamut from traditional to avant-garde. Having flowers that are unique to **you** and your color scheme for your wedding can tie everything together and enhance your overall experience. Just like a photographer, hire a florist whose work speaks to you!

Just wanted folks to know I recently updated my web site with a new gallery.
photographic pictures have been updated =)
My blog is active and currently undergoing a facelift behind the scenes to make it more user friendly and uber awesome.
I am now doing pet portraits too. I really <3 doggies (http://www.phodographybymichael.com)
I have been working with a florist whose work is progressive, at time even avant-garde. Her stunning work will sonn be on display on a brand new site currently under development. I have shot ALL of the work that will appear on her site! After 20 years in the business, she was delighted to find me and loves my work...... she says no other photog gets it.

Speaking of I do, are you planning for your wedding for next year? Here is a friendly tip: Considering how important choosing your photographer is, consider finding and contracting with the photog you want *before* the venue. Why? It might be easier to book your photog than your venue when you are planning ahead.

Beautiful Winery Wedding in Malibu, CA

Jen and Jake had a beautiful ceremony at Malibu Family Wines on June 27, 2010. Yes, we do make wine in So Cal :-)
Head on over to the blog to see the single shots and their slideshow.
Jen wanted to explore the property for some portraits beforehand, so we went around and said hello to some zebras and a frienly horse, then went and explored trailer park. Yes, a vintage trailer park. I did some cool stuff with them outside and then we ducked inside a 1940s era cab. Then we went to a tree lined road for some more portraits before heading back to ceremony site. Things ran late due to some bridal party members getting lost in the maze of winding roads in Malibu, but it all worked out beautifully.
A beautiful and fun wedding with a lot of love in a beautiful setting with guests that like to party :)

Jericha and Paul's Hawaii wedding slideshow

Jericha and Paul got married in Oahu on March 21, 2010.
Their slideshow covers their rehersal, rehersal dinner, and of course their entire wedding :)
It was small, intimate, and you'll see they had a heck of a lot of fun!

Beautiful Hawaii Wedding

Jericha and Paul got married March 21, 2010 in a small, intimate ceremony on Oahu.

This is what Jericha had to say when she saw the first pictures on my blog: "Oh my goodness!!!!! These are amazing!!!! I was blown away when I saw the 25 or so waiting on your blog! I don't think I'm capable of saying anything more articulate right now... I'm just soaking them in. Thank you!!!!"

Now that is a happy bride!

Why doing an engagement shoot is awesome.

What is the point of doing an engagement session? Is it a gimmick used just to make more money? Is it worth the time?
All valid questions!
I did a recent blog post to answer these questions and expand on why doing an e-session is the greatest thing since air conditioning (ok, maybe not that major--but close).

I think the pictures are perfect examples of exactly why engagement sessions are fun and cool. It's a cliche, but a picture is worth a thousand words, so by all means please judge for yourself :)
