Over the past few years, we have been working more and more for foreign couples that choose Italy as the destination for their wedding. Since we are based in Lucca (Tuscany), most of our assignments have always been in major Tuscan locations, like Florence, Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano and our beautiful Lucca, of course. But recently we have noticed something that, in some way, seems unexpected: the area of Lucca is increasingly becoming a frequent choice, among Italian wedding locations. Based only on our customers, the number of weddings held in Lucca over a span of two years has seen an increase of 100%. At first, we thought this was just the result of our marketing initiatives, but recently we have realized that the same trend has been seen by many of the wedding planners we work with in Tuscany and a couple who work in Rome, too.
In fact, Lucca is an excellent choice for a couple wanting a unique mix of history, nature and art that makes Tuscany a renowned wedding destination, but with some peculiarities. Lucca is a medium size city that has some of the most diversified landscapes in Tuscany. It is less chaotic than Florence or Pisa, so it really is a noteworthy choice for a couple interested in a city wedding. By the way, the city centre of Lucca is the most diversified and well conserved among the big, antique Tuscan cities.
Thanks to these characteristics, Lucca and its surroundings offer many possibilities for a destination wedding in Tuscany and every couple interested in an Italian wedding should seriously consider this city as their perfect choice.
