The Clift Hotel and The Swedenborgian Church in San Francisco are a great combo for weddings. The Clift is modern and chic, with groovy furniture at every turn. The Swedenborgian is quaint and rustic, with a big fireplace and eaves made of whole tree trunks. The bride, Jen, wanted to get married at the Swedenborgian because that’s where her parents were married in 1969. Paired with such a significant location, the Clift’s clean lines and happening scene made this the ultimate San Francisco wedding.

One of the best places to have an elegant wedding in Austin is at Laguna Gloria. Formerly a mansion, now a museum, the location has interiors and extensive gardens, perfect for a top notch affair. This event included clear tents, indoor and outdoor lounges, creative lighting, fantastic catering and unbelievable amounts of flowers. The vendors included David Kurio Floral Design, Ilios Lighting, Coco Paloma Cakes, Townsley Décor and Kurant Events. Erin and Larry spared no details, including having an espresso cart, photo booth, live band, DJ and me…a film photographer. It was amazing to see it all come together.

Austin has a swanky new hotel, the Hotel Saint Cecilia. Its Euro bohemian vibe was the perfect place for an upscale, yet laidback rehearsal dinner. Erin and Larry pulled the best of Austin together, Vespaio doing the catering and DJ Chicken George playing the tunes.

Fun Chicago wedding at historic Salvage One restoration warehouse.

Chicago’s Salvage One warehouse was a unique place for a wedding. Susan and Rylan are both artists and they wanted to make a slightly irreverent, fun wedding for their guests. And they especially wanted a film photographer, so they flew me in from Austin. Susan wore a teal dress with a birdcage veil, plus they both loved their shoes. We took photos with the vintage bathtubs and antique furniture. The wedding had a travel theme, which made sense since the bride and groom are on a world tour for the next six months.

What a sweet wedding in Austin, with vintage and homemade details, including a painted photo booth. Melissa and Alex found many vintage mismatched plates, flatware and teacups for their wedding. They used old 45 records as their centerpieces because they love retro and they love music. Alex even sang a song that he wrote for Melissa.

The bridal party wore matching cardigans, the boys in blue, the girls in yellow. Melissa wore a super fun Dolly Couture dress and Alex wore Vans sneakers. Classic!
