Claire & Anthony 29th August 2009

In his wedding speech on Saturday, Claire’s father repeated several times how very proud he was. He explained how if felt for him to walk his beautiful daughter Claire down the aisle at St. Nicholas Church at 2:15pm on Saturday 29th August 2009.

Look at that photograph ( the eighth one - please go to original blog to see this ) and you can see for yourself how proud he was ….

The reception was held in the Delme room at Hitchin Priory with evening dancing in the atrium.

These are just a few of my favourite shots from the day - to me the last two images sum it up - you won’t find a happier couple than these two!

The wedding day is one of the most special moments in a couple's relationship and that is why the first dance is so important. I know couples who practice for
months for their first dance and some even take lessons from a professional. While many couples just manage to do fine, others excel. Camilla & Russell did just great at their reception at the Lansdowne Club in Mayfair London. Camilla is an accomplished dancer and Russell was keen to to learn the steps and pull it off in style.The guy singing at the end of the show who did a really great job is Marcus Malone . I bumped into Marcus again at my very next wedding at Penshurst Place in Kent ( more on that in the next blog entry! ). This slideshow shows a quick practise run before the dance itself. London Wedding 30th December

I have been very busy over the Christmas period shooting 5 weddings during December. The last wedding I shot in 2008 was for Camilla & Russell on the 30th December.

The wedding was held at the West London Synagogue with the recption held at the famous Landsdowne Club in Mayfair, London, near Berkeley Square.

This is the first wedding I have shot with my new Canon 5D Mk11

Shoot With Beckstead

Back at the end of August I had the great pleasure to host a workshop in the UK for the American photographer David Beckstead. I promised to post some work from the workshop and have only just found the time to do it!

Special thanks should go to models Jo, Emily, Stephanie and Cheryl who we absolutely wonderful throughout the three day shoot! Stephanie also did a night shoot at Fanhams Hall as well and I will post some images from that soon.

All in all it was a great learning experience for everyone who attended and it was wonderful for me to get to work with such a truely talented photographer and a really great guy!

St Albans Cathedral UK

Last Saturday 11th October was the wedding day of Jacqui & Matthew who had the Cathedral in their home town of St Albans as the wonderful setting for their wedding ceremony.

After the wedding ceremony the wedding party walked right through the cathedral to the West Door for some photography otside.

Matthew & Jacqui met through their common love of Sheffield FC the oldest football club in the world. South Africa is the honeymoon destination and was a feature of the food, wine and cake details for the reception held at The Noke Hotel in St Albans.

UK Wedding 29th September

After hosting a "Shoot with Beckstead" workshop at the end of August we both travelled up to Lowestoft in the UK to shoot a real wedding for Rosie & Simon the next day.

David had kindly agreed to shoot with me and it was a real treat to have another photographer to work with, yet alone one who is a world renowned wedding photographer... As you can see he was enjoying the day and he took some amazing shots throughout the day. The two images above are mine, but you can see all of the images from the day ( including David's amazing work! ) here
