Umstead Wedding | Raleigh Wedding Photographer | Christy + Charles - 05/01/10 11:30 PM
I had a beautiful Umstead Wedding at the Umstead Hotel located in Cary, NC. If you are not familiar with the Umstead, it is a 5 star hotel that provides unparalled service. An Umstead Wedding is certainly a treat to photograph and I was thrilled and honored Christy and Charles chose me as their wedding photographer.
The day, however, didn't want to cooperate as the skies were threatening and just as we got ready to start the wedding ceremony, a very light rain started coming down. Both Christy and Charles really wanted an outdoor ceremony so Charles made the call and off we went! Our officiant did speed read the ceremony and after dodging a few early raindrops, mother nature knew she was beat and relented so we enjoyed a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony with no rain.
After the ceremony, we walked around the grounds of the Umstead Hotel to grab some shots of the happy couple using the beautiful scenary as a backdrop for their wedding photography. Again, an Umstead Wedding REALLY does have it all! Once we finished up an headed inside, the Stone Age Romeos cranked it up and got all their friends and family jumping!
