There is no piling all the kids in the car to park at the mall to go wait in line. There is no standard set up that every child is photographed in. There are no cutesy tricks to get everyone to smile or say "cheese."
I work more like the classic portrait painters of centuries past. Here your photographic portraits are customized. I come to you. I work with just your child, your family, your pet. I find the moments that are uniquely them, the expressions that are theirs alone. We talk and play and listen and build little friendships that show in the portraits. We find the reality that makes our days so rich. Not posed studio photographs, but the truth in all its giggly-grumpy charm, wind playing in our hair, imaginations unfettered by the grown up world...
There are so many expressions in the way a family loves each other. I search for those nuances, those moments, in portraits - the little things that tell the story of the loves of our lives as they really are - the way we really love them.
