ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER {overview}
Sean Watson's laid-back approach is not just his shooting style, it is his lifestyle. A native of sunny southern California, Sean grew up surfing and traveling the coast in search of perfect waves. After  school he pursued his other passion, skiing. Moving to Salt Lake City, Sean skied one hundred days a year and spent his summers by traveling and backpacking through southern Utah. It was during this period where he really learned the importance of "Quality of Life." Sean works to live, he doesn't live to work.

Because photography also became a major passion during this time in his life, he decided to move north to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. With its gorgeous lakes and beautiful mountains he knew this would be a great place to start his photography career. Within two years his wedding work has been published in numerous regional, national and international magazines. His laid back approach to weddings has shot him straight to the top in the wedding field. His clients love working with him and most of his new clients are word of mouth referrals from previous ones.

His inspiration comes from life itself. He watches and observes his subjects, how they interact with each other, their smiles and touches, and even their tears of joy. That is how he captures his subjects--not by posing, but by directing them in ways that are natural to them. Sean believes you can't get natural emotions by trying to make it happen. The only true way to get the emotion is to put your subjects in an environment that they are comfortable in. This will invoke the true expressions!

Sean Watson travels the world photographing weddings and capturing your lifestyle.
